The Autumn-Winter 2016/17 collection, BOHUSLÄN created by Cristina Piña is inspired by the winter landscape of this Swedish region. We enter in a winter with an almost magical light where declining grays turn into black. Breathe serenity, we hear the sound of the leaves of infinite height trees and the crashing waves of a rough and dark sea that fills the collection of seamanship references: stripes, matelot trousers, knotted ropes, pea coats,… The collection is a love affair with the wildest nature.
Ingrid Bergman, who used to spend long periods in Fjällbacka is the female protagonist of BOHUSLÄN. Our Ingrid is not the shining star of the golden Hollywood, but one to which the Mecca of cinema and American society turned away by her affair with Rossellini. Hitchcock’s muse, who gives life to the Cristina Piña woman for the season, is cold as the Swedish winter. Wander haughty and distant wrapped in a thick wool sweater hand-knitted, key piece of the collection.
The collection is dark, as its landscape and its star, with three main colors: garnet, ecru and black. The BOHUSLÄN print from fruits and plants is a network of berries from the Swedish forests printed in silk satin. The rest of the fabrics are cloth and wool crepes, velvet, georgette silk, poplin and neoprene.
